The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino

In 1958 New York, Midge Maisel’s life is on track– But when her life takes a surprise turn, she has to quickly decide what else she’s good at – and going from housewife to stand-up comic is a wild choice to everyone but her.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Is In Its Fourth Season

And it seems to be going strong. For some reason I really didn’t get into it. Many more people like it than dislike it . . . It’s a solid 5 stars!!

Well, not every series or movie is for everyone — that’s why there are so many choices.

There’s an all-star cast of:  Alex Borstein,  Marin Hinkle Rachel Brosnahan and Tony Shalhoub among others.

Maybe at a later date I’ll find my funny-bone and get into it . . . but for now it is a pass for me. But you decide for yourself. Give it a look and see what you think.

Here’s an update as of March 26, 2022: I was surprised I had previously watched the entire first season back when. So I watched it again, along with Season 2, 3 and 4. I think it was mainly the language. I don’t remember the 50’s being so vulgar. I wasn’t entirely into the 50’s thing . . . maybe it had to do with their culture . . .  Yet I’m all about family and traditions and family values. Yet . . . I just can’t relate to the characters and the choices they make or made. Some of the episodes were enjoyable . . . some not so much. I’m pleased I got to know the characters better as well as the essence of the series  . . . I don’t believe I’ll be looking forward to Season 5, if there will be another season. I don’t see how it will change enough to interest me.

Thanks for stopping by!
